AI COO
Most "AI assistant" products help one person finish one task faster. An AI COO is a different category: it owns a surface the whole company runs on, not a workflow it accelerates. The verb to look for is runs, not helps.
The category exists now because three things converged: long context windows, real agentic tool use, and a generation of studios that ship 3-20 products with the same 5-10 people. None of those teams can build a per-product COO; they need one mind reading every title at once.
A working AI COO has three load-bearing parts: shared memory across products, specialist agents that read and write to it, and a decision cadence the operators actually trust. Without all three you have a chatbot, an automation tool, or a dashboard, none of which are a COO.
