Institutional memory is the state where the reasoning behind past decisions is still readable months later, by people who weren't in the room when the call was made.
Small studios lose memory faster than they admit. People rotate off products, Slack history scrolls past, the post-mortem doc gets renamed. Qualia keeps the trail: what changed in the product, what Qualia drafted in response, and what the human on the team approved or edited.

Does Qualia replace our Notion or wiki?
No. Keep Notion for design docs, hiring, and long-form thinking. Qualia owns one specific surface: the per-product decision record. The two live alongside each other.
How far back does the memory go?
From the day you connect a product's sources. We retain the decision record for the life of the account by default; export and longer retention are configurable.
Can we export the decision history?
Yes. Per-product decision records export as structured JSON or CSV on request today, with a self-serve export coming. If you need a specific format for an internal system, tell us during onboarding.
Who can see past decisions?
Anyone in your studio workspace with access to that product. Access is per-product, so you can keep contractor or partner access scoped if you need to.
