Use case · Autonomous operations
Operations that don't need a human reading every dashboard.
On this page, autonomous operations means a studio where no one has to manually scan every product every morning to know what needs attention.
Qualia is not an autonomous operator and we don't pretend it is. It monitors your portfolio, detects what changed, and drafts the next move. A human on your team still signs off before anything ships. What changes is the work the human does: less reading, more deciding.
Best for: Studios where a founder or head of ops is the bottleneck on reading dashboards and writing the next move.
Before & After
What changes for the studio.
The "Before" column is what most small studios tell us their week looks like today. The "After" column stays inside Qualia's real posture: monitor, detect, draft. A human signs off.
| Before Qualia | With Qualia | |
|---|---|---|
| Who reads every dashboard | A founder, every morning, across stores, ad platforms, and analytics, for every product in the portfolio. | Qualia reads them; a human reviews the drafted moves Qualia surfaces. |
| Who writes the next move | Whoever has bandwidth that day. Often nobody, so the move slips by a week. | Qualia drafts it. A human on your team approves or edits before it ships. |
| What happens at 2am | Nothing. A metric moves on a product nobody's actively babysitting and you find out three days later, after the window to react has closed. | Qualia detects it and queues a drafted move for the next human review. |
FAQ
Questions studios ask
before adopting this.
Is Qualia an autonomous agent that runs my studio?
No. Qualia monitors, detects, and drafts the next move. A human on your team signs off before anything ships. Anyone selling you an autonomous studio operator is selling you something else.
Can Qualia ship a change without a human approving it?
By default, no. Approval is the step that ships the change. But autonomy is a ladder, not a switch: task types with a proven approval record can be promoted to run unsupervised, and you can demote them anytime. On our own portfolio, sentry fixes run unsupervised today; anything that touches money never does.
Then why use the phrase 'autonomous operations' at all?
Because that's what studios search for. The state we're describing is operations that don't need a human reading every dashboard, not operations with no human at all.
What does the human's day look like once Qualia is in place?
Most founders describe it as a shift from reading to deciding. The morning dashboard scan stops; the daily review of drafted moves takes its place. We don't claim hours-per-week numbers because they depend on portfolio size and how aggressive you want the cadence to be.
