Operator boredom

TL;DR. Operator boredom is Qualia's product metric: if a portfolio operator yawns at a feature, the feature is cut. It's a signal that the work being shown isn't load-bearing for their week.

Most B2B products are graded on engagement, daily logins, weekly active, feature adoption. None of that tells you if the product is actually useful for an operator's work.

Operator boredom is the inverse. If the founder of a multi-product studio looks at a Qualia screen and says "yeah, this is fine, I guess", that's boredom. The product hasn't given them anything that changed their week. It gets cut.

The metric exists because every prior wave of operator tooling died from politeness. Customers smiled, used it Monday morning, and stopped by Wednesday. We'd rather build less, but build what makes them lean in.
